These resources empower teachers to bring the city’s heritage and geography to life, creating an engaging and memorable learning experience through student-centred pre-excursion, excursion, and post-excursion lessons and activities.
Available for Grades 3-4 and 5-6.
Money and Financial Mathematics
These resources support teachers in facilitating their students learning about the relationship between dollars and cents, and decimal currency, through student-centred pre-excursion, excursion, and post-excursion lessons and activities.
Kit built by CommBank has partnered with Monopoly to deliver this Money and Financial Mathematics Lesson Plan for the excursion experience at MONOPOLY DREAMS Melbourne.

Curriculum-Aligned Content - Secondary Schools
The MONOPOLY DREAMS Melbourne Business and Economics workshop is designed to position students in the role of Operations Analysts and Business Strategy Consultants at MONOPOLY DREAMS. Through the duration of their guided tour and in the workshop after they will be tasked with engaging with the different areas and aspects of the attraction, identifying challenges to operational efficiency, visitor satisfaction, and market positioning.
Each lesson plan details objectives, success criteria, activities, a materials list, and assessment suggestions, catering to diverse student learning capabilities and needs.
The Business and Economics Pack engages students with key learning areas of the Victorian Curriculum:
- Develop and apply questions to investigate an economic or business issue where there are competing perspectives on the course of action that should be taken.
- Locate, select and organise relevant data and information from a range of sources
- Analyse a response to an economic, business, work or financial issue, identifying potential costs and benefits.
- Personal and Social Capability: Collaborative tasks and feedback sessions are designed to develop communication skills, empathy, and the ability to work effectively in teams.

A Message From Our Partner
Kit has partnered with MONOPOLY DREAMS Melbourne to create a school excursion program with a difference to teach students about money and financial mathematics tied to the Australian curriculum.
Students will become Monopoly Money Masters learning about everything from currencies, recognising notes and values, and how to spot a scam, to budgeting and rental prices.
Kit’s Learning Designer collaborated with the experts at Monopoly to create an action-packed lesson plan, with classroom activities and an interactive workshop experienced at MONOPOLY DREAMS Melbourne.
